Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshops are designed primarily for women with an interest in learning skills usually associated with hunting, fishing, and outdoor endeavors. Although they are open to anyone 18 or older, the workshops are tailored primarily to ladies who have never tried these activities or who are beginners hoping to improve their skills.
Winter mini workshops are held in January and February to teach participants about ice fishing, darkhouse spearfishing, dog sledding (first-timers only), snowshoeing and tracking, cross country skiing, winter survival and advanced cross country skiing.
Costs for the workshops are $50 or $75, depending on the workshop. All course materials are included.
