Wildlife Management Area Guide

State wildlife management areas are listed by county using the Standard County Code. Code numbers appear in parenthesis before the county. Their sequence automatically alphabetizes the counties. The WMAs are also alphabetized within each county. If unsure of the location of a county or the code number, refer to the map (89k gif) which lists the county code numbers.

View Wildlife Management Area Regulations

The name, acreage, location, most common game species, and fishing if available is listed for each area. Unless otherwise specified, the areas are open to hunting, fishing and trapping. Check the current hunting and fishing regulations and proclamations for details. Many of the areas also provide hunting or trapping for furbearers. Most WMAs are ideal for nature study, hiking, and primitive camping. Areas marked with an asterisk (*) are leased to the Game and Fish Department by other agencies for management.  Map sheet references indicate on which PLOTS (Private Land Open To Sportsman) map each area is found.
