Interested turkey and swan hunters can still purchase a license for the 2008 hunting seasons.
More than 500 fall turkey licenses remain in four units: 13 (Dunn County), 15 (Emmons County), 17 (portions of Billings and Golden Valley counties north of Interstate 94), 99 (Mercer and Oliver counties). There is a limit of 15 fall turkey licenses per hunter. The fall wild turkey season opened Oct. 11 and continues through Jan. 11, 2009. Turkey licenses are $8 for residents and $80 for nonresidents.
Approximately 100 swan licenses are available, with only one swan license allowed per hunter. The fee is $5 for residents and $25 for nonresidents. The statewide tundra swan hunting season is open through Jan. 2, 2009.
Resident and nonresident fall turkey and swan hunters can apply online at the North Dakota Game and Fish Department website, gf.nd.gov. Applications are also available by calling the Department’s Bismarck office at (701) 328-6300.
