2017 Deer License Statistics

The table below gives the approximate information from 2017 on licenses that were available, the number left after gratis deductions were made for landowners and the number of applications that were received for the first drawing. This reflects first choice only and because of the second deer choice allowed, your chances of getting a license can’t be figured exactly. However, providing a similar situation occurs this year, your odds would be better in those units where the applications did not exceed the licenses available after gratis. 2018 licenses available will be added once those numbers have been determined.

In the table below, the deer choices are coded as follows:

  • A - Any Antlered Deer-either species
  • B - Any Antlerless Deer-either species
  • C - Antlered White-tailed Deer
  • D - Antlerless White-tailed Deer
  • E - Antlered Mule Deer
  • F - Antlerless Mule Deer
