Game and Fish is starting a new Photo Gallery feature. A couple of times each year the Department will feature a collection of images from amateur North Dakota wildlife photographers who have contributed photos for consideration to North Dakota OUTDOORS magazine and calendar, and the Department’s annual Watchable Wildlife photo contest.
This collection is the first in that series.
Photographer Kelly Krabbenhoft was born and raised in Kindred, North Dakota and now resides in West Fargo. He has a master's degree in range science from North Dakota State University. With nearly 30 years of experience working in North Dakota, photography seemed to naturally evolve from his appreciation of nature and wildlife. Being self-taught does provide its challenges, but he has fine-tuned his craft since getting started more than 20 years ago.
Kelly currently works as a self-employed consultant, and the seasonal nature of his work provides him with plenty of time spent outdoors with camera in hand.
(Note: Photos taken by private photographers may not be used in any way without the permission of the photographer.)
