Job Duration: Position is generally 20 hours per week and year-round. Schedule is Thursday - Friday (8am-5pm) and every other Wednesday (8am-5pm).

Summary of Work

  • Primary duty involves answering the department’s main telephone lines, transfer calls, and answer basic hunting and fishing related questions.
  • Read, interpret, or explain applicable laws, rules and regulations related to hunting and fishing.
  • Provide a variety of information such as applications and educational materials to individuals who visit the Game and Fish Department.
  • Provide excellent customer service to walk-in customers.
  • Assist with general clerical duties.
  • Use a computer (internet, email, Microsoft Word) in performance of duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma and one year of office support, clerical or secretarial work experience.
  • Requires working knowledge of general entry-level clerical and administrative functions of an organization, including telephone systems, general office equipment and computers using Microsoft Office.
  • Requires excellent communication skills, and a pleasant and positive attitude to consistently apply common courtesy in working with others.
  • Requires a general knowledge of hunting and fishing.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality is essential to this position.
