Project Description

Little to no information exists for the distribution and abundance of herpetofauna and small mammals in the Turtle Mountain region of North Dakota. Comprehensive inventories of a region form the basis for evaluating species status and is essential in understanding the complexity of biodiversity for research, conservation, and effective species management. The objectives of this project are to determine the small mammalian and herpetofauna species composition, species richness, abundance, and their habitat association in the Turtle Mountains of North Dakota by using multiple survey methods.
