Wetland Occupancy by Shorebirds in Wind Energy Developments in the Prairie Pothole Region of North Dakota (SWG T2-2-R)

Publication cover
Description

To address whether recent wind development has had a negative effect on wetland use by shorebirds, we conducted a three-year study to estimate wetland-level probability of presence and detection of marbled godwit (Limosa fedoa), willet (Tringa semipalmata), and Wilson’s phalarope (Phalaropus tricolor) on sites with and without wind development in the Prairie Pothole Region (PPR) of North and South Dakota.
