This Is An Everyone Issue - ANS 2021

May 16th through the 22nd is Aquatic Nuisance Species Awareness Week. "This is really a diverse water issue. So this is not just a fishing and hunting issue. This is a water users issue. Every citizen in North Dakota could be affected by aquatic nuisance species directly or indirectly." Says ANS Coordinator Ben Holen. Learn more in this week's webcast.

Walleye Spawning (2021)

Many waters in North Dakota are stocked with walleye produced from eggs collected from the state's existing walleye populations. Each spring Department fisheries staff collect eggs which are then hatched and raised at the Garrison Dam National Fish Hatchery. Fingerlings raised at the hatchery are released into some of the state's fishing waters later in the summer. Learn more about this process in this week's North Dakota Outdoors webcast.
