Hudsonian godwits
Unlike marbled godwits, which breed in North Dakota, Hudsonian godwits can only be seen in the state during their spring migration. These beautiful little birds may migrate thousands of miles at one time, but can sometimes be found taking a break to rest and feed in wetlands. Watch for them next time you're out and about in the countryside.
